I got my book on fashion drawing today and went out to the pub to read it through and drew this when i got back. I dont really like it. The main features of this is that her right arm is implied, ie, you cant see it because of the angle, but the shoulder tells you where it is. I copied the dress from the book from a technical illustration of the dress as I wanted to do something boring, the only remarkable feature is the left hand cuff which is a bit different iin that its a definate cuff and you can see the pleat in the cuff to sleave join. Not amazing, but something that was purposley achieved. In contrast I paid no effort to the shoes. Also i tried to 'diffuse' the background but i think thats a knack i'm going to have to work on. The only thing I like about this is her face. Oh yeah, also, the book tends to show models as having long legs and such and so this girl is taller looking than normal but I dont think I care for that. It was a difficult drawing really..
